Celtic Sea Power have partnered with Cornwall College to to support clear progression routes into the green energy sector. A FLOWmark for T Level in Engineering and Manufacturing recognises how this course meets the needs of industry in the future whilst supporting local career opportunities now.
Darren Reski, Curriculum Area Manager for Electrical, Engineering and Motor Vehicle at Cornwall College St Austell, said: “The Engineering & Manufacturing T Level at Cornwall College is really special.
“We have worked closely with Celtic Sea Power, who have FLOW-marked our T Level. Their input has helped shape the course, so students gain up-to-date, industry-relevant skills that reflect emerging sector needs, including experience linked to floating offshore wind.”
With the FLOWmark stamp of approval, the T Level is highlighted as a credible pathway for students aiming to work in the floating offshore wind sector.

Key to that is recognising courses which are a step on that journey as well as a practical enabler to local opportunities in the here and now.

The Engineering and Manufacturing T Level covers a broad range of disciplines including robotics, mechatronics and electronics. Delivered over two years, the programme combines occupational specialisms with multiple industry placements.
“This gives students a strong first step into engineering and manufacturing,” added Darren. “The experience they gain will support their next steps and help them progress with confidence.”
On completion of the T Level, students can move straight into employment, progress onto an apprenticeship or continue into higher education. Equivalent to three A Levels, the T Level carries UCAS points that support entry to university or advanced apprenticeships.
FLOWmark recognition gives students confidence that their learning reflects industry need, while signalling to employers that graduates are prepared for the practical demands of the sector.
