SeaRegs recognised with FLOWmark® for courses aligned to offshore wind careers

SeaRegs have been recognised with a FLOWmark® for two courses which clearly signposts how maritime training can lead directly into the offshore wind sector. Their Level 3 Small Commercial Vessel Crew Member and Level 3  Boatmaster apprenticeships, have now achieved FLOWmark® recognition, confirming these programmes are practical, industry-aligned entry routes into offshore wind.

Rachel Hutchins at SeaRegs said “Maintaining high quality training standards is vital for the future of the maritime and offshore wind sectors. Our partnership with FLOWmark® demonstrates a shared commitment to supporting learners with industry-aligned training that prepares them for long term careers in a growing and evolving industry.”

At a time when the sector is expanding rapidly in the UK and in the south-west region in particularly, this award provides much-needed clarity for individuals seeking a way in. The offshore wind workforce is scheduled to triple to over 100,000 by 2030 and  confident, competent offshore workers are required to meet this need.

SeaRegs join Cornwall College and MPower Kernow as part of a growing network of flagship FLOWmark® providers, helping to create a clear pathway into the offshore wind sector. FLOWmark® is designed to remove uncertainty by highlighting the training that leads to real jobs. Through this award, SeaRegs now stands out as a trusted gateway, offering hands-on maritime skills that transfer directly into offshore operations, including crew transfer, vessel support, and marine logistics.

The inclusion of these apprenticeships reinforces the value of earn-while-you-learn pathways, particularly for career returners or those transitioning from adjacent industries. Learners gain real-world experience in safety-critical environments while building the competencies needed to support offshore wind activity.

Olivia Whittle, FLOWmark® Manager at CSP said “SeaRegs are an outstanding provider, delivering courses for all levels of knowledge and understanding. Their apprenticeships are a clear and comprehensive first step in a career journey in offshore wind. Their performance in the FLOWmark® audit was exceptional and we look forward to working with them!”

SeaRegs will be exhibiting at SeaWork 2026, showcasing their latest maritime safety training solutions, including advanced simulator technology and accredited certification programmes. Visit them in Southampton from 9-11th of June!
